Immortal Jellyfish

-Sarah Elizabeth Key

My creative writing life began in entertainment public relations where I wrote press releases that were pure fiction. My publication history includes eight cookbooks, essays on the Huffington Post, and several dozen poems in print and online, including poems in four anthologies, such as the recent Nasty Women Poets. Other places my poems have appeared include The Georgia Review, Calyx, Poet Lore, Minerva Rising, Poetry Center San Jose, Tulane Review, and Tuesday; An Art Project. After studying poetry at Frost Place, Cave Canem, and the Unterberg Poetry Center, I now learn from my students at a community college in the South Bronx.

  1. Wonderful, Sarah. I wrote a poem in a visual form based on finding a tiny silver cross pendant in the crack of asphalt. Perhaps i should share it publicly. It was written many years ago. As a visual artist, too, it’s fun to craft poems into objects.
