Reflets dans l’eau

Light scatters, skips, and pirouettes,
silver ripples dancing across the glassy pond,
once still — now quivering with laughter,
as a startled frog springs skyward,
shattering the mirrored heavens below.
Droplets disperse, catching the sun like scattered diamonds,
before melting back into the trembling blue,
where a lily pad waits, rocking gently,
a stage for this fleeting ballet of water and light.
