Oh, yellow bloom atop stout stem
with five petals to turn into
ripe, sweet berries. Oh, green,
green leaf with ruffled edge,
may spring pander to your heart,
and April nourish your beauty
with its cool nights and warm
days and may you forever bring
forth the fresh, fragrant fruit of joy.
