Dandelion Greens

yellow flower plant on green grass field
They break through the will
of winter—
the cold of coming back,
the control of childlike spirit
cracking the responsibility
of staying alive,
the calendar
of thinking anything
is possible—

even living—

and isn’t it?

They’re back
only because they bared
to be.
