Photographs by Sherri Harvey
When I was younger, photography was my passport to meet people, learn, and experience new cultures. Now it is more than just a passport. It’s a tool for creating awareness and understanding across cultures, communities, and countries; a tool to make sense of the commonalities in the world we share. As I grew older, I realized that I want to advocate for the wild world, for nature. I have a responsibility to the subjects I shoot to amplify their story and highlight the issues we all agave in this age of the Anthropocene. My stories shed light on environmental and cultural issues, solutions, and efforts with the goal of making a positive change.
