Tao haiku

A small traditional hut with a moss-covered roof and a stone path surrounded by shrubs, located in the Portland Japanese Garden.

moment
I walk—deep in thought
a dove mourns the passing day
I stop—awaken

hobo
riding open cars—
silver path of harvest moon,
heartbeat of steel rails
