Ode to the Garden Path

scenic stone pathway through vibrant wildflowers
Only the path knows the end,
Twisting and turning
'Round every bend

By the water lilies, it wanders
Near the roses, it runs
Through the mums, it meanders

It's a street for whomever inhabits it--
A Main Street for the squirrels
With a crosswalk for rabbits

A final home, an invite
For the leaves to land
After their autumn flight

Of solid foundation,
It guides my feet
On my next exploration

Zigzagged, intertwined,
It'll lead you to what
It wants you to find.
