He’s still here

Like a ceramicist molding his medium into perfect forms, his hands morph my body like moist clay. He surrounds me like a kiln and just as his sintering is about to completely alter my anatomy, the sun pierces me awake.
It’s been two years since he died. But he’s still here. When the wind blows, I can feel him gently brushing his ethereal fingers through my hair like adventurers entering an abandoned winding labyrinth. When the rain falls, I can feel his sweat delicately glossing my face like varnish on a dulled painting forgotten long ago. And the snowflake sprinkles are him writing his cool, crystal kisses into my skin like an ancient language we alone remember.
He’s still here.
