#315: Trawling Aubrey Ponds

Discovered twelve
luminescent creatures

Trawling aubrey ponds

Downy feathered ducklings
a dozen on this day
at peace nibbling
green eel grass

Reassured by Mother Goose
sidling over
gadwalls just a few weeks old

These creatures pay no mind
to wayward landlocked souls like mine
trundling down a fenced off trail
Marin county shore line

Out there on a sun drenched day
an uplifting healthful sign
happily protected ducks
marsh grass entwined
