Underwater stillness, deep quiet,
Sounds of a busy world submerge,
Noise and chaos drowned.
Even the beehive of my mind stops,
Calmed and engaged for the duration
Of a scuba tank full of oxygen.
Fish languid, float through corals,
Colors mesmerize in filtered sunlight.
My focus deliciously singular.
Suspended without gravity,
Easy, restful, as in sleep,
Yet awake, curious in this watery universe
